Who We Are

The Tunisia Environment Reporting Network (TERN) sponsored by Internews Europe and the Earth Journalism Network, is a newly launched project, the first of its kind in the region, and in partnership with World Environment Magazine and Nawaat. Internews Network and Internews Europe developed the Earth Journalism Network (EJN) to empower and enable journalists to cover environment-related issues more effectively. "WE SHARE" aims to promote media independence, good practice and factual reporting of environment related issues, capitalising on the new found media freedoms which have emerged from the Arab uprisings

Who Can Join

TERN aims to establish a progressive and ecological framework for environment reporting in Tunisia through skills sharing with media organizations in Lebanon and London in order to set up an engaged and trained network of national and regional journalists and bloggers reporting objectively on the issues facing the environment in the region. The platform is open to all environment journalists and media workers in Tunisia and Lebanon who are interested in covering environment related issues or for journalists interested in learning more about the topic. Although this platform will be facilitating dialogue between Tunisian and Lebanese journalists, "WE SHARE" aims to expand the network to journalists from across the Middle East and North Africa.
